Summer Meals
In the summer, kids often don’t know where their next meal is coming from— their food insecurity rises. With no school meals to rely on, thousands of children in our area need help with a nutritious meal.
The Summer Food Service Program (SFSP) provides free meals and snacks to help children get the nutrition they need to learn, play and grow throughout the summer months. Find the Summer Food Service Program nearest you to make sure your school-aged children know where meals are in when school is out. To find a summer meal near you click here.
If a household gets FoodShare benefits and have children in school, they automatically qualify for free school meals (learn more here)! If a low income woman is pregnant, breastfeeding, a new mom, or have children under 5 years old, the household might qualify for the Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants, and Children (WIC) benefits (learn more here).
